Anna Maria Island Beach Destination Weddings

This sleepy ‘Old Florida’ town is one of our most popular spots for romantic beach weddings. Located in Manatee County, about 40 minutes south of Saint Petersburg, Anna Maria Island’s white sand, oak and palm-lined beaches and stunning sunsets provide the perfect backdrop for saying ‘I do.’

One of the most sought-after venues in the country, Anna Maria Island has for years been the Tampa/St. Pete area’s best-kept secret.

An array of beautiful tropical birds make Anna Maria their home. The whole island is a bird sanctuary, and your wedding photographer will likely capture a pelican, crane, heron, wild parrot or sandpiper as part of the shots on your big day.

Personalizing a wedding has never been so affordable. Start creating your own exclusive wedding with our Beach Wedding Studio™ today, and discover the possibilities!

Coquina Key Beach is a favorite among many brides. The sugar-white sand, tree-shaded areas and view of the gulf entice many couples to plan their ceremony here. The beach is divided by antique piers stretching into the water, and dolphin sightings are common. If you want the charms of an intimate beach ceremony but have a large guest list, this is the perfect spot for your beach ceremony.

Escape the sunbathers and beach walkers with a ceremony at our 46th or 52nd Street Access Wedding Sites, which provide a semi-private location for your ceremony. Each provide tree lined and/or Boardwalk Entrance, the perfect entry for the wedding party and bride. Parking is available however, limited as each location has a maximum of 30 Guests (preferably less for added privacy).

Our Holmes Beach location is on a public beach, best suited for weekday or evening ceremonies. Located gulfside, this beach offers stunning sunsets and is easily accessible.

You can also rent a private beach house on Anna Maria Island. Our site is perfect for smaller gatherings, ideally 20 to 30 guests. Nestled between tall pines down a shaded path, this beach site offers the ultimate in escaping civilization and enjoying the beauty of nature. Talk to one of our representatives if you are interested in this option, and we can provide you with more details.

As it’s name suggests, Holmes Beach is located just South of Anna Maria Island proper.  The beautiful sunsets and boardwalk of this location can provide a wonderful area for those couples who may not want to get married on the Public Beach. After the wedding, you and your bridal party can go a few blocks to the East.  Bay Front Park is nearby and amenities include a pavilion with thirteen picnic tables, two 24” grills, water, electric and one concrete counter. Restroom facilities are nearby and the play area next to the pavilion is open to the public. ADA accessible. Pavilion Rental Fee: $95.00/$101.18 with tax. The 46th St Wedding Site is ideal for small family gatherings who are vacationing nearby. Several brides and grooms have combined their ceremony with a family vacation here.  This wedding site is our most popular with international couples looking to celebrate their Florida Destination Wedding, drawn to the beauty and small town feel of Anna Maria Island.

The public beach on Anna Maria Island, also known as Manatee County Public Beach, can be very busy and it’s not recommended for weddings. If you do choose this location however, please plan a sunset wedding during the midweek (Monday – Thursday). This will help with parking and allow you more privacy for your wedding, commitment ceremony, vow renewal or elopement. The sand is sugar white and you are sure to find some seashells or perhaps a Spanish Doubloon that has washed up on shore. Anna Maria Island offers spectacular sunsets, warm tropical temperatures and a gentle breeze. Our Wedding Packages

Holmes Beach – Bradenton Beach (Private Beach House Rentals)

*Anna Maria Island is largely vacation rentals and boutique hotel locations. Thus, no name brand hotels reside at this location. For smaller gatherings, we encourage couples to use the Public Beach Access Points above or rent a beach house with property lines that extend to median high-tide for privacy. Permission is required from the Owner and/or Property Manager, further permits may also apply and is limited to numbers just more than the house may sleep (For Example:  Sleeps 12, 10-15 guests may attend).

Nestled between tall pines and down a shaded path, you will find some of the most secluded wedding ceremony sites on the island. The entire island of Anna Maria is a bird sanctuary where pelicans, multiple types of cranes and herons, wild parrots, sandpipers, hawks, seagulls, and crows share the island with humans. This secluded haven is not handicapped accessible, because of the sand boardwalks.  Consider a Beach House rental in this area as homes have ‘Riparian Water Rights’ and allow for more privacy on your Big Day! We recommend less than 25 Guests (Wedding Packages) at these locations.  Search Zip Code ‘34217’ under Vacation Rentals, Gulf Front through our partnership with Booking: Link
