Turtle Beach gets its name from its numerous loggerhead sea turtles that nest along the shore and it is a great spot to get away from the large crowds of Siesta Key Public Beach. Conveniently located at the southern end of Siesta Key this wedding site requires a $125 permit fee and offers a more rustic beach feel with privacy, ease of access, and plenty of free parking. Although the sand is not as white as siesta key, the water is just as clear and blue which makes an excellent back drop for a beach wedding.

Turtle Beach is an excellent location for wedding parties up to 50 people. It is clean and well cared for and the views of the sunsets are magnificent. Directly across the street you will find Turtles Restaurant that offers a more casual reception for up to 60 people right on Little Sarasota Bay. A little farther south you will find Ophelia’s on the Bay which is an upscale-casual reception location that can accommodate up to 100 guests.

*If you walk 3/4 of a mile south from turtle beach, you will come across Stephen King’s winter home on Casey Key
