Emerita and Lorenzo met over 10 years ago through mutual friends in Cartagena Colombia. Although it was love at first site their language barrier proved to be a formidable relationship obstacle. After meeting, they kept in touch through social media and frequent travel visits and with each passing month Lorenzo’s Spanish became better and over time they were able to overcome the language barrier. Initially, their plan was to wed several years ago, but unfortunately financial difficulties intervened. However, Emerita and Lorenzo were determined to nurture their long-distance relationship as best they could until God presented them with the opportunity of marriage. For them, the path to matrimony has been a long road filled with many obstacles and challenges but with love, prayer, and determination they persevered.

The Bride and Groom will continue their wedding celebration at The Rumfish Grill located inside The Rumfish Beach Resort in St. Petersburg Florida. All attending guest are invited however, the Bride and Groom will only be providing complimentary champagne and wedding cake. Dinner menu options are available but at the guest’s expense.
