Rahk and Shea’s love story began on November 16, 2000. Rahk and Shea had been sorta set up to meet eachother by a mutual friend/coworker. Shea and Rahk exchanged phone numbers and their very first phone conversation lasted over 2 hours with plans to go on their first date on Nov. 19, 2000.
November 19, 2000 (First Date) – Some flirtatious banter was exchanged back and forth while on their first date to the Emperors Wok (a cheap buffet LOL). Despite Shea taking notice of Rahk’s frugalness they enjoyed the company of eachother, had great conversation, and their attraction was mutual. After their first date, they were inseperable, spending every day together. By December 2000, just a month later, Rahk and Shea introduced one another to their families.
Six weeks later, yep just 6 weeks after their first date, Rahk asked Shea for her hand in marriage, and she of course said YES! On January 2, 2001 they eloped with no ring, no fancy wedding, just two hearts IN LOVE, they became husband and wife at The Justice Of Peace in Belleville, Illinois.
Twenty years and two wonderful sons later, and with Gods covering, they have made a lifetime of memories, loved one another and stayed commited to eachother through the ups, the downs, and the countless blessings from God.
