An Unforeseen Blessing – A Friendship to Last Forever…..

Henry and Emelia had seen each other at their local Kingdom Hall for about 6 months before officially meeting (North Smyrna Congregation- Smyrna GA). As Emelia was heading to her car after a mid-week meeting, in March 2015, Henry stopped her and introduced himself. She did the same and they both thought that that would be that. Approximately 2 months later, A friend invited Emelia along with a group other brothers and sister to spend a day out in his hometown of Rockmart.  Emelia was reluctant to go but was convinced by a dear friend. When Emelia arrived at the car pool location… guess who was in the front seat of the 4 men car? None other than Henry! Emelia’s and Henry’s life changed from that day forward. Jehovah had presented them with an unforeseen blessing.  They became fast friends and from that day forth, they were inseparable. They would hang out with each other every chance that they could get. Whether it was solving mysteries in an escape the room scene, catching a movie, hiking on Kennesaw Mountain, taking the kids to a wildlife safari, karaoke night, family worship at a friend’s house, or simply being thankful for unlimited minutes on cell phones, they were comfortable with each other and thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company. They made their relationship official almost 1 year later in April 2016.  Shortly after that, in August of 2016, Henry took a job opportunity in Tampa, Florida. Although the long-distance relationship presented a huge challenge, they were able to stay together with Jehovah’s help and the strength of their firmly established friendship. Emelia was able to relocate to Riverview, FL in July 2017 where their relationship continued to be strengthened.

They are now ready to make this love, friendship, and commitment last forever with Jehovah as the 3^rd cord. They have vowed to make Jehovah happy in this marriage and by doing so, Jehovah will bless their Union. May their love, spirituality, and relationship with Jehovah continue to grow as they look forward to supporting each other in this system of things …
