Their journey began in Erie,Pennsylvania.  Dan was coaching at Mercyhurst University and Kailee was attending graduate school at Gannon University. Kailee was a bartender at the Plymouth Tavern, a spot Dan and his fellow coached visited frequently. They had meet and been acquaintances for  over a year. Kailee thought Dan was really good looking, but she also thought he was a little weird because he was always so quiet! Dan thought Kailee was a pretty girl, but didn’t want to be “another creepy guy that hit on a bartender.” On February 6th 2016 Kailee was out for the night at the Plymouth for her friends birthday when Dan and his good friend Tim walked in. They were wearing suits from attending an event for the new school they coach at currently. (Thiel College). Kailee thought to herself .. “OMG look at Blume!” she couldn’t let him pass by without at least saying hello. She asked what he was so spiffed up for, and to her surprise it was because he and Tim were at  the Black and White Affair at Thiel College. Kailee graduated from Thiel in 2014 so this was a great conversation starter considering Dan just took the head coach position there a few months before. Our conversation never died that night. We sat next to one another until it was time to leave. That night Dan got Kailees number, was a gentlemen and kissed her goodnight.

We started talking everyday, and the next weekend we had our first real date. We went out to dinner and then went to a rodeo. The past two years are the happiest we have ever been and we can’t wait for all of you to celebrate the love we have for one another with us!
