We have brains (sometimes), heart (always), courage (most of the time), and a home. Join us on our journey down the yellow brick road as we ask the wizard (he’s really a preacher this time) for the legal designation of husband and wife. Bring the munchkins – the more the merrier! But please tell us you’re coming so we can have plenty of food. Oh, and leave the wicked witches and flying monkeys at home, please.

Dreams Really Do Come True
When you’re young, you think you know how your future will go. You dream big, plan big, and talk big. Then life happens, you blink, and suddenly you’re 50, plus or minus, years into the journey and alone. If you’re as lucky as we are, then you get another chance to live, laugh, and love big. That’s what happened in 2008. Thanks to some family encouragement, a matchmaking service (Romance Pros!), and divine guidance, we found each other. We’ve had some awesome times as friends, lovers, parents, and grandparents. And we’re looking forward to many more happy years together.
On December 26, 2011, Bob, with the help of good friends Edythe and Jim Wahl, threw a “surprise” wedding for Freda. That one was for love and commitment. This one is for love, commitment, and legalities. It’s also because we both love family (especially grandchildren) and with most of our children (Mandy, Jason, and Steven) with us, the time is right. We really hope our family and friends are as happy as we are. Whether it’s over the rainbow in Oz, on the shores of a beach, in a car going to a yard sale, or in a house in Holiday, there’s no place like home. If we are together, we are home.

Other Important Information for Our Guests
- Dress comfortably. Jeans, t-shirts, casual wear are all fine with us! The groom may be in jeans, so however you want to dress is okay with us. Remember it’s January in Florida and the ceremony is outside, so pay attention to the weather forecast and plan accordingly.
- If it’s raining, we’ll hold the ceremony inside the reception hall.
- If everyone we invite attends, there could be 75 people present. It’s far more likely that 40 to 50 will show up. We’re providing seating for 30 for the ceremony. Everyone else will stand. It will be short: 20 minutes tops. Wear comfortable shoes for walking on the beach.
- Park at the reception address and cross the street in front of Crabby Bills (Gulf Blvd at 4th Avenue). There are a few parking places on the beach side, but if it’s a beautiful day, those will be taken by beach goers. If walking the length of a football field is difficult, arrange to be dropped off at the boardwalk to the beach and have someone park your car for you.
- The reception will feature finger foods, music, cash bar, visiting, and cake. It should last about two hours.
- We have more stuff than we need, so please no gifts. If you must, then gift cards to restaurants would be much enjoyed as we both love to eat.
- Contact Freda at 813-924-0850 or Bob at 727-542-7490 if you have questions or need directions. Those are cell phones and we both know how to text.
