Most of you know us and our love story. To be honest, it is our favorite (but we might be a little biased). We are so glad you are here to share in celebrating us finally coming together forever! But for those of you who do not know our love story exactly, read along and see how we got to where we are!

First off, we met in guitar class sophomore year of high school (2009). Tripp was quiet and kept to himself while Ashley was a ball of energy rolling in. Little did both of us know how important that first day of us meeting was! God specifically put us in that class together! He had bigger and better plans than we ever could imagine! We began sitting next to each other and sharing our musical tastes together. Turns out we love the same type of music, which naturally created a bond. Over the next weeks, we grew closer and closer together forming this unbreakable friendship. We did projects together and began to hang out together outside of school too! Our friendship was so strong that everyone at school said we were perfect together and should date. So eventually, Tripp did ask out Ashley but she turned him down in fear of risking their perfect friendship.

Things went on like normal after that and then college comes. We went to different schools and eventually got wrapped up in our own lives that we wouldn’t see each other much. When each of us were in town where the other was, we would always meet up though! The friendship was always there, whether we realized it or not. Both of us had a deep compassion for the other’s success and happiness. Then one day in college, Ashley asked out Tripp in hopes that their friendship could become more, but Tripp was busy in his studies and extracurricular activities and felt that he would not be able to give the relationship all the attention and focus it deserved. Therefore, we both agreed to wait and see what happens down the road.

The funny part is we both knew we loved each other, life just pulled us in opposite directions at that moment. Fast forward a few years later, we both met up one day and began to hang out just like we did in high school. We would jam along to our favorite songs in the car and talk about all the past shenanigans we got into in high school. Our friendship began to grow even stronger, though we did not think this was possible. Soon after this reconnection, we began to date and from then on you know the rest!

We knew God had big plans for us and that he created each of us for the other. We bring out the best in each other and really work as a team in every part of our lives. We are both thankful for not dating in high school and in college. We were less mature and still growing inside that it gave each of us the time and ability to grow into the loving couple we are today. Love’s foundation is friendship and we are so excited to literally be marrying our BEST FRIEND!
